New construction of a five-story building with 22 market-rate student housing rental units located in Berkeley, CA.
Designed by Pyatok, The Laureate includes ground floor retail and live/work spaces. The apartments consist of three or four bedrooms and accommodate four to eight people, prioritizing privacy and flexibility. Each floor is centered around a compact central area and has layouts that minimize plumbing fixtures.
The fourth-floor roof deck provides an outdoor social area with views of the bay while ensuring privacy. The Laureate has an 84-bike room and no on-site car parking. The building includes features for NetZero performance, solar energy, and water retention.
