Design highlights of the brick heritage style building provide for "smart classroom" audio/visual technologies and conference rooms equipped for teleconferencing. Other construction features are optimum natural lighting, such as the three-level lobby windows, and floor to ceiling windows in the expansive dining area.

The Bertolini Center will consolidate a range of student service and program departments from different locations across campus, including Career Development, Student Employment, counseling offices, Student Government, the Puente and Mesa programs, and Student Affairs offices. Much needed new classrooms are featured in addition to a new Academic Senate Meeting Room, a spacious cafeteria serving all the campus community, and conference center facilities.

The Bertolini Center is strategically located adjacent to the new Doyle Library, administrative offices, and across the street from Emeritus Hall and other academic buildings. The project will be completed in late 2009.

January 15th 2007 - Strawberry Safeway Awarded Best of 2006 Retail

In the last year Midstate Construction completed a new 44,685 square foot Safeway and the necessary site work within Strawberry Village, Mill Valley. Before construction could begin, it was necessary to demolish the existing 32,000 square foot. Located in Mill Valley, fifteen minutes north of San Francisco, the entire project caters toward the high end market it serves. Beyond the scope of a Safeway Lifestyle upgrade, the exterior facade matches the likewise upgraded Strawberry Village aesthetic. As the largest retail tenant in the retail center, the exterior is broken into varying heights and extrusions, to simulate a smaller footprint and balance the other half of the center which is comprised of smaller shops. Midstate's adept project management team ensured the grand opening seven months after demolition of the original Safeway, marking a continued successful 53 year relationship with Safeway, Inc.
