October 10th, 2006 - Current Work at Alameda Town Centre

Midstate Construction has constructed the new Walgreen's at Alameda Towne Centre. The new 16,139 square foot building contains the expected drug store features such as: pharmacy, photo processing and retail space. This project is one of many constructed and under construction for owner Harsch Investment Realty, LLC at the Alameda Towne Centre site. Currently under construction are Building 800, Building 800 shops, Building 500, Building 300 and applicable common areas. Previous projects include Safeway, Beverly's, KB toys, Jamba Juice, Carlin's Shoes, general site work and building shells for later tenant improvement.

June 9th, 2006 - Larkfield Oaks

Midstate recently completed a new two story, 56 unit affordable housing community in northern Santa Rosa for Burbank Housing Development Corporation. This new community consists of 36 two story townhouses and 20 apartments. Similar to other Burbank Housing projects, this project includes a community center and private yards for some dwellings.

March 13th, 2006 - Midstate awarded new project, new employees

Midstate was awarded the contract for Westwind Building Q, MA Silva Corks site and building. The MA Silva Corks project will continue our successful relationship with Westwind Business Park, including past projects such as La Tortilla Factory, Buildings Y, U, V and W, Sonoma County Health and Human Services and Truetime.

Tiffany Valdivia has rejoined Midstate in the capacity of Project Engineer, assisting the project management department, we welcome her back.

March 10th, 2006 - Midstate enjoys new partnership & opportunity

Midstate has been awarded the new Whole Foods tenant improvement project in Los Altos. This marks our first project with Whole Foods Market and the start of another successful retail construction relationship. In addition to regular supermarket facets, the new 54,125 square foot store will contain a bakery, floral stand, deli, food prep kitchen, coffee roasting and bar, interior and exterior dining areas and office space.

February 6th, 2006 - Midstate makes some changes

With great pride, Midstate has promoted three employees, Becky Johnson, Greg Schank and Vic Zimmerman.

Becky Johnson has been in the field recently for the construction of Pickleweed Community Park and Library in San Rafael serving as Project Coordinator and other duties as needed. With her limitless ambition, recent schooling and hard work she has been promoted to Project Engineer.

Greg Schank has been promoted to Retail Project Manager in part to help Division Manager, Rick Oberdorfer, with the numerous retail projects Midstate has been lining up. Greg has been with Midstate several years; his teamwork, enthusiasm and personality are the qualities we strive for in our Project Management Department.

Vic Zimmerman, longtime Midstate employee has been promoted to Vice President, Labor and Safety to help with labor relations in the field. Vic saw a need in the field for extended training and room to grow. His new position will help get the necessary tools and skills to the field in order to build and maintain a dedicated workforce, in a trade that is ever changing.

Midstate wishes the best of luck to each of these employees and will proudly continue promoting from within.

February 1st, 2006 - Midstate #1 General Contractor!

Midstate Contruction has been assigned the #1 General Contractor by volume for the year 2005 in the North Bay Business Journal Book of Lists 2006. We had a great year and worked on some great projects; La Tortilla Factory, Yulupa Co Housing, Theater Square and Rivertown Apartments. Every member of our team worked hard to achieve our internal goals, and the end result was reflected not only with company pride in a job well done, but regional recognition. A big thank you to all who helped Midstate work towards this terrific goal.

January 19th, 2006 - Sonnen BMW Service Addition

Midstate has recently completed a 3,500 square foot service addition to the existing Sonnen BMW dealership in San Rafael. The dealership, built by Midstate in 1997, now has an expanded service bay area, an additional office and an automated car wash.
