At the south end of the business park, Midstate Construction is building the new La Tortilla Factory for owner/developer Ursus Development Group. The new single story 74,665 square foot building is on a 213,563 square foot site. From this facility, La Tortilla will manufacture and ship its food products nationwide. This is an expansion from their current 60,000 square foot factory also located in Santa Rosa.

Towards the center of the business park, Midstate is working with owner Woodbay, Ltd. doing tenant improvements for the Sonoma County Human Services Department which is currently located in 25,000 square feet of the building. The 59,504 square foot building will be improved with new offices, training areas and conference rooms. The remaining office area will be leased to another tenant after improvements are made. The data room is equipped with a pre-action fire system. When the building senses a fire, it sets off alarm which won't set off the fire sprinklers until a certain temperature, and then it turns itself off to prevent flooding.

Upon completion in Spring of 2005, the office space will be leased out to tenants for business purposes. The scope of this remodel included gutting forty rooms and replacing and refurnishing everything down to the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. The Mechanical refurnishing included an overhaul of the climate control per room , each room is now equipped with an unobtrusive heat pump and A/C unit on the roof. New energy efficient double paned windows were installed, utilizing internal mechanisms designed to not depreciate or change the aesthetic of this historic landmark. The second phase of construction will be completed in the beginning of May, with the completion of 14 central rooms and an office renovation. The third phase includes the remodel of forty two rooms in the West wing and will be completed in late June. One of the most visible changes to the Sonoma Mission Inn is the approach and valet station on the main driveway. Before construction, three conspicuous eucalyptus trees obstructed the drive to the valet station, resulting in a winding route. These trees were removed and a circular display was built around a large centered Elm tree. The circular arrangement is complimented by the newly built valet station which provides a pleasing symmetrical view of the exterior elevation.
