December 20, 2002 - MIDSTATE COMPLETES SAUSALITO HOTEL PROJECT

Midstate Construction, a Petaluma based General Contracting Firm, recently completed renovation of the Village Fair building in Sausalito to provide additional rooms for the Casa Madrona Hotel.

The original building, erected in 1924, was known as the Mason Building and was used primarily as a parking facility for travelers using the ferry to and from San Francisco. The building space was used for everything from bootlegging to warehouse space until its conversion in 1964 to the Village Fair retail shops and café.

Midstate Construction contracted with Oly Casa Madrona and Olympus Real Estate to remodel the building into a world class destination spot for tourists in the Bay Area. Thirty-one luxury guest rooms occupy the top two floors along with a day spa that includes eight treatment and steam rooms. Guests are treated to elegant, Mediterranean décor with spectacular views of the Bay,Tiburon and Belvedere.

April 3, 2002 - MIDSTATE TO COMPLETE EXCHANGE BANK TENANT IMPROVEMENTS

Petaluma based Midstate Construction has been contracted to complete a 3,200 square foot tenant improvement project for Exchange Bank's newest branch office located at Sonoma Mountain Parkway and Riesling Roads in the new G&G shopping center at Parkway Plaza in Petaluma. Completion is expected in early summer 2002.

April 3, 2002 - Midstate Moves Forward In Marin

Petaluma based Midstate Construction Corporation is currently working on two new projects in the town of Corte Madera at the Corte Madera Town Center. Both projects will occupy the former JC Penny's building which totals aproximately 73,000 square feet. The first of the two projects is Bay Club-Marin, a high end elegant health facility owned by Western Athletics Club. This 51,000 square foot facility will boast an impressive array of Nautilus equipment, spa services, a pro shop, physical therapy and nutritional services, mens and ladies locker rooms, child care facilities and an Olympic sized lap pool. The second of the two projects is The Container Store, which will occupy approximately 22,000 square feet of the former JC Penny's building. This Dallas based company specializes in household organizational systems. Tenant Improvements for this project will include adding a raised façade to the store entrance, adding a galvanized steel canopy, trellises, lattice work and a cobblestone entry walk facing U.S. Highway 101. This will be the second Bay Area location for The Container Store, the first being in Walnut Creek, CA.

April 3, 2002 - MIDSTATE GIVES SANTA ROSA GOLF COURSE CLUBHOUSE A LIFT

Originally built in 1967, the Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club Clubhouse is being rebuilt by Petaluma based Midstate Construction. The original building had to be completely demolished and new foundations poured. Midstate is also adding new parking at the clubhouse nearly doubling the existing parking lot. The new split-level, Mediterranian style clubhouse will occupy approximately 40,000 square feet of area overlooking the 1st and 18th holes of the golf course. The interior of the clubhouse will boast an impressive new banquette, dining and lounge areas. A new state of the art commerical kitchen will provide exquisit cuisine for both the formal and informal diners. High-end finish details will add to the richness of the interior design including crown moulding and base, extensive millwork and three cast stone fireplaces. Completion is scheduled for Fall 2002.

April 3, 2002 - MIDSTATE TO BUILD MIXED USE IN SONOMA

Midstate Construction is constructing the new Mixed-Use project in Sonoma for L.L.L. Properties. This project, located on West Napa Street, within close walking distance to the Sonoma Plaza, is combining residential and retail space. The first and second floors will be used for office or retail space and the third floor as residential. In keeping with the charm of downtown Sonoma, Victor Conforti Architects and L.L.L. Properties have chosen a classic Spanish/Mission style of architecture, which will use an exterior stucco finish complimented by arched doorways and tile roofing. The project is anticipated to be completed in early summer 2002.

January 30, 2002 - Midstate Keeps Growing!

Midstate Construction, a Petaluma based commercial General Contractor, has added a new employee to its roster. Ken Medrano, Superintendent, started the new year with Midstate. Ken's construction supervision experience, based primarily in San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area, includes several multi-million dollar parking garage structures, new construction and tenant improvements for numerous professional complexes, hospitality, retail and medical building renovations with emphasis on seismic upgrades.
